Projects and Partnerships

Learning happens everywhere, especially when children have the opportunity to discover things on their own, to try things out and to gain experience. That’s why projects and partnerships are an integral part of our everyday life at our daycare center. They expand the children’s range of experiences, create new encounters, and provide special learning experiences that go beyond the daily group routine.

Through projects and in cooperation with our partners, we offer a variety of activities that support the children’s personal, social, and emotional development and foster their curiosity about the world.

ASB Senior Center “Am Birkenwald”

The regular visits to the ASB Senior Center are a special enrichment for young and old alike. Through storytelling, singing, crafting or playing together, valuable intergenerational connections are formed.

Children experience how rewarding it is to give their time to others and to bring them joy. At the same time, they develop empathy, consideration and respect for older people. These experiences strengthen their social bonds and show them how important community and mutual respect are.

Project “Music and Art” with the Atelier der Sinne – Initiative for cultural education

Music and creativity open up a wide range of opportunities for children to express themselves and develop their imagination. Together with the Atelier der Sinne, children experience music, movement, and artistic expression as an integrated experience and bring their own ideas to life using various materials and techniques.

This process not only results in small works of art but, above all, in valuable experiences: children strengthen their creativity, self-confidence and joy in developing and implementing their own ideas. At the same time, their perception, fine motor skills and ability to express themselves are fostered.

Energy project “Electricity from the power of the sun” in cooperation with Stadtwerken Stuttgart

How is energy actually generated? And what role does the sun play in this? These questions are explored and investigated by the children as part of the energy project. They discover how energy is generated and used and why renewable energy is so important for the future through playful, hands-on experiments.

Through experimentation and observation, the children develop an initial understanding of sustainability and learn to treat our environment and its resources with care and awareness. In this way, curiosity, a spirit of inquiry and responsible behavior are fostered from an early age.

Stuttgart-Run

Working together toward a common goal, experiencing success, and growing beyond what they thought they could do – that’s what our participation in the Stuttgart-Run is all about. In the weeks leading up to the event, the children prepare themselves for the run with playful training sessions and experience how regular practice leads to visible progress.

In addition to the joy of physical activity, endurance, coordination and perseverance are fostered. Above all, however, the children learn just how proud they can be of what they achieved together.

Kindergarten Soccer Cup

Physical activity brings people together, and our children experience this firsthand as they prepare for and participate in the Kindergarten Soccer Cup. They develop their motor skills through playful training, learn basic soccer techniques, and experience the importance of teamwork and mutual support.

The focus is not on winning, but on fairness, team spirit, and the joy of moving together. The children learn to take responsibility for one another, take on challenges, and celebrate successes together.

Stuttgart City Library

For our children, the city library is a place full of stories, exciting discoveries, and new experiences. During their regular visits, they take part in a variety of activities such as picture-book shows, storytime sessions, the Bee-Bot adventure workshops, and events during Children’s and Youth Book Weeks.

The children experience books as exciting companions, playfully expand their vocabulary, and develop a love of language, stories and knowledge. At the same time, their media literacy, concentration and curiosity about new topics are strengthened

KiTanzt (Dancing Kindergartens)

Music, movement and community are at the heart of “KiTanz”. The children joyfully prepare for their group performance and spend several weeks rehearsing a choreography.

In the process, they develop a sense of rhythm, body awareness, and self-confidence. The group performance is a special experience for the children, during which they discover how much they can achieve together as a group and how wonderful it is to proudly present what they’ve worked on.

Hands-on Exhibits at the “Junges Schloss”

The children regularly visit the interactive hands-on exhibits at the Junges Schloss or explore exciting topics using hands-on activity kits that we borrow and bring to our daycare center. Through trying things out, experimenting and independent discovery, the children are actively engaged with various topics and learn using their senses.

The diverse activities stimulate curiosity, creativity, and a spirit of inquiry, encouraging children to ask questions and seek answers on their own. In this way, children experience learning in a playful manner and develop a joy of learning and discovering independently.

National Read-Aloud Day

National Read-Aloud Day is a special highlight at our center every year. External guest readers take the time to read stories to the children and transport them into the fascinating world of books.

Reading aloud together promotes not only language development and vocabulary, but also concentration, imagination, and listening skills. At the same time, children experience how much joy stories can bring and develop a positive relationship with books and reading, laying an important foundation for their future educational journeys.

Shaping the future together

Quality is built through learning, exchange, teamwork, and collaboration. That is why we work closely with colleges and technical schools and actively contribute to the training and learning of future educators.
